Food: Tried most of the dishes here and they are representative of how it would be back home, but given some slight twist to accommodate all palates. Must tries would be the pork sisig, crispy pata, pork sinigang and karekare. The servings though can be quite small especially if you take into account the prices. A good experience to try for anyone is the boodle fight (spread of food on banana leaves). Whilst not strictly traditional, the experience you get from it is distinctive. Service: Filipino servers are known as one of the best when it comes to genuine service. Atmosphere: They have reinvented their interior multiple times but it still generally excudes a homy, industrial Filipino theme. Overall, its a gem in West Houston as the cuisine is really under represented. My only pain point is the price, which is really pricey. To promote Filipino food, the price should not be the same as Gerry’s Grill. Appetizers are upward $15. This can take non-Filipinos as a surprise. Make it accessible to most is all I’m suggesting

My family took me to Patis & Toyo for dinner because I had wanted to try Filipino food. I was expecting more from this place. For us, our first time trying this popular food was a total disappointment. The food lacked flavor; for example, the garlic fried rice tasted exactly like regular rice that hadn't been fried. The fried pork butt was Way Overpriced for something so fattening, oily, and tasteless. The sauce that came with it did not improve its flavor or taste. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else. The service wasn’t great either; they only had 3 servers, and the place is so small that 3 would be enough. But they forgot one of our drinks that we had to remind them twice. This restaurant is Way Overpriced on everything on their menu. We wasted our money eating here, and I wish we had gone somewhere else for dinner. And to think this place has 4-5 stars and good reviews, which is why I wanted to try it. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

I absolutely loved this place. I traveled all the way from Dallas just to try for my birthday. It was delicious. Waiter I forgot his name took very well care of us. And the food is amazing. Thank you for the best experience… (please open a store in Dallas please :(. I’m definitely coming once a year

Patis & Toyo is an excellent place if you’re looking for quality food and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, the space feels clean, well organized, and thoughtfully designed. The menu offers a nice variety of options, and everything is prepared with attention to detail. The flavors are well balanced, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Presentation is also a plus, making the overall experience feel a bit more elevated. Service is friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. Staff take their time to make sure everything is right, which adds to a smooth and enjoyable visit. Overall, Patis & Toyo delivers a consistent and satisfying experience. It’s a great spot for a relaxed meal, whether you’re going alone, with friends, or with family. Definitely worth coming back.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming, the atmosphere was great, and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was well prepared and full of flavor, making the whole experience memorable. A special thank you to Michele, who took care of us during our visit. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. Her service truly elevated our experience and made us feel very well taken care of. It's always great when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and Michele definitely made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be coming back!
